East Coast continued their poor start to the season with a 4-2 defeat at Felixstowe.
From the start East Coast struggled to keep possession of the ball and found themselves firmly on the back foot for the entire first half.
Despite the best efforts of Robbie Guy in goal, strongly supported by the defence of Peter Newham, Matt Eagle, Simon Cottingham and Carl Rix, it was only a matter of time before the visitors conceded a goal, such was the pressure.
East Coast did manage to hold firm until five minutes before the interval, then with two penalty corner strikes in quick succession Felixstowe edged in front by the interval.

East Coast made a tactical charge for the second half with Ollie Payne now returning to his more familiar position on the right wing.
Although a small change, this made a huge difference to East Coast who now had an outlet and were able to work the ball up the pitch with simple, short passing and moving. Suddenly the whole team started to play with more belief and confidence.
East Coast created chances for the first time in the game and scored twice through penalty corner strikes from Ollie Payne.
Unfortunately, the visitors conceded two more goals which allowed Felixstowe to always keep in front.

East Coast should take heart from the performance in the second half and try to build on this over the next few games.
